Accelerating Young Minds towards Excellence, Casagrand International School Hosts its 1st District Level Interschool Chess Tournament 2025

Chennai, 25th January 2025: Staying true to its philosophy of nurturing life skills alongside academic excellence, Casagrand International School today elevated the spirit of intellectual competition by proudly hosting its 1st edition of the District-Level Interschool Chess Championship for the students under the age categories of 8-16 years. Held at its state-of-the-art campus in Thiruvanmiyur, the event transformed into a vibrant arena of strategic brilliance, drawing over 180 budding chess prodigies from 40 schools across the city. Adding prestige to the event, the grand day witnessed presence of Mr. Dwarakesh P., COO, Casagrand International School, who not only inspired the participants but also added immense value to the event by sharing their expertise and experiences.

Adhering to international standards of fairness and technicality, the tournament became a captivating display of intellect, strategy, and sportsmanship. The matches unfolded with participants grouped into four categories: U-8, U-10, U-12, and U-16, competing in 5 intense rounds of play. After a series of challenging games, the top 10 champions in each group were honored with prestigious trophies. First-place winners in each category also received DGT2010 chess clocks, celebrating their exceptional performance and dedication.
