Debut Fashion and Graduation Showcase for Design Confluence 2024’s Inaugural Graduating Class
Design Confluence 2024: A Triumph in Creativity and Talent at DOT School of Design, Chennai
Chennai, India – May 11, 2024 – The DOT School of Design, situated in the vibrant Ambattur Industrial Estate of Chennai, recently hosted a spectacular event titled Design Confluence 2024. This remarkable showcase, encompassing a fashion show and graduation ceremony, marked a significant milestone for the institution and its talented students.
The event, graced by esteemed guests and luminaries from various fields, was a resounding success, owing to the relentless support of faculty members, students, and parents. National film award-winning actress Urvashi Archana and the acclaimed actress from the movie “Aruvi,” Aditi Balan, adorned the fashion show with their presence, where final year fashion design students captivated the audience with their exceptional creations. Their exemplary work garnered widespread appreciation, affirming their prowess in the world of fashion.
However, Design Confluence 2024 was not merely confined to the realm of fashion. The event showcased the diverse talents of students from other disciplines such as Interior Design, Communication Design, and Industrial Design. Undergraduate and postgraduate students presented their innovative designs in a captivating student exhibition held at the prestigious Anna Centenary Library auditorium. The exhibition received accolades from guests representing various domains, further highlighting the breadth of talent nurtured at DOT School of Design.
Following the showcase, a grand graduation ceremony honored the graduating students, symbolizing their journey of growth and achievement. Dr. Sudhir Varadarajan, the esteemed founding director of MaDeit Innovation, Sudhan Ramasamy, IAS VR, Exnora president S. Senthurpari, and chief guest Justice S. Rajeshwaram graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The ceremony featured inspiring addresses by Balraam S, Design Chair at DOT School of Design, and Sathiyaseelan G, Vice President of Design Styling at Ashok Leyland.
The event garnered significant attention and acclaim, becoming the talk of the town, as the exceptional work of the students resonated with audiences far and wide. Commencing with the opening declaration by Chairman AR. R Raammnath, the event concluded on a note of gratitude with the heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Vice-President Mrs. Vijayalakshmi.
